just make 2, 3 or more discs. I'ts not like the end of the world if we use multiple discs.
see ME 2 for example, swapping twice only in one playthrough. thats not annoying at all

The features in Halo 3 are enough to make it a next gen game
and the graphics weren't that bad at all. just because Gears of War and Uncharted 1 had better graphics doesn't mean that Halo 3 had bad graphics
Halo has large landscapes and the colors were really good

everything in the game has a way to kill. even if you have overshield with rocket launchers you still have ways to kill
not like cod everyone is camping and then whenever someone enters the door boom headshot with a shotgun. I call that unbalanced
